MC D worth it ?

Hey folks havn't posted inawhile as I havn't been doin much cigar-wise save smokin' what I got

Anyways dropped by my local B+M with the intention of buying a single SLR A as I have never tried them, when lo and behold I see these Monte Cristo D EL 2005s that my tobacconist just got in (seemed like he had 20 or so). He was selling them for 21 Euros, and I just couldn't resist.

I am not going to smoke this for awhile, so I just wanted to hear from people here if they think this gar is any good, and if it is worth anywhere close to what I paid for it.

A good LE (IMHO), price seems about right for a single.
Over here they sell for around ?16 - ?20 a stick.

Personally they didn't do it for me. Some think they will come good in another few years.

There appears to be a glut of them on the market and are widely available across Europe.

With all the positive comments in this thread and the negative ones in the link spacemonkey posted, I couldn't resist and smoked it. The flavour was superb and I enjoyed it very much. On the other hand I did find it a tad tight which would make me nervous about buying more due to my percieved risks in construction. So was a great smoke but I ain't taking the risk again

They are indeed good. And I suspect will age well.

I suspect the fact that they can still be found is due to an unfashionable size and some inconsistencies with wrapper and construction.

My main problem is that the shop I usually buy from has these at 11ish euro and the 08 Sublimes at 14. And I'm afraid that's a no-brainer.

Having said that I did pick up the three remaining in the open box t'other week.

I love the size and great wrappers, just didn't enjoy the smoke.
