i only smoke at the weekend and limit it to 2 cigars so its something i look forward to allweek while sat in my truck.

the last few weeks have been smoking non cuban maduro but this weekend treated my self to a cohiba maduro secertos on the friday night and a ryj 2 on the sat night.

best part of ?20 for the two of em. friday night i sparks up the cohiba and just could not get it to draw right , smoked most of it but it was a struggle and became very frustrating. smoked quite a few cohiba's in cuba and never had this problem.

and then the same thing happened again on the sat night with the ryj was like trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose. ended up in bin not even half way smoked. must not have been my weekend

handmade product, you dip in sometimes and out on a few occasions. I find thinner gauges can be a bit more temperamental with draws and thicker cigars are a lot more forgiving. Right now i'm enjoying a 60 gauge NUB and never had a bad draw with them. Also check you humidity as i have found higher than 70%rh can make them swell a bit and restrict the draw and make them go out a bit more often. I prefer them 68%rh or just below at the moment.

Know exactly how you feel. Had the same (as I had mentioned many times before) with the Magnum 50...

You could try & take the Secretos back - a decent merchant should swap or refund.

Sorry to hear that Khol, that sucks, and sucks and sucks and sucks apparently. If I got those two in a row then I'd be swapping them out of my routine for a while as I dont like using draw pokers too often. Had a box of Siglo Is that did this to me & turned me off them. Hope your next smoke is better.
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)

A few of our customers have started using cigar borers to resolve the issue. They don't always work but more often than not it turns a lost cause into a decent draw.

TBH I'm not surprised. They're not brilliant for the amount they cost to be fair, and they can be pretty poor without at least a year of settling.
