  • Partagas D4

Just had a D4 and it's rocked my socks off.

What is it with cigars that sometimes they're good but other times they're just amazingly brilliant.

Absolutely punching in-ya-gob-goodness that nothing else can compete with.

I just wish everyone was as good as this.

I hear ya brother - they are my 100% favourites of all time. You should try the Partagas Seleccion which comes with 2 D4 and 2 Series Ps in a rather nice humidor quality smallbox (great for dryboxing). our sponsor has them online for a very reasonable ?58

Ditto....once in a while I smoke one out of an otherwise good box and think "that one was worth twice the money".

Funny, I've always had nothing but problems with them but the P2 is my favourite of all time.

I like my d4s but love my P2s... In pimp speak the P2 would be my bottom bitch and the d4, my side ho!

I've not had one for a while but I've got a few nestled away resting. I also seem to have that 'fantastic experience' every time with the Boli RCs and the JL2s. Three superb sticks imo.

funny you should mention the bolivar RC dave!! in my rotation, the psd4 and boli rc are always fighting over the number one spot!!! both quality, consistent cigars in my opinion!!! i really must give the jl2 another go (my experiences with them weren't too favourable)!!!

anyway, love live the PSD4 (and boli RC, lol)!!!

                            Give me a minute....ummmmm! That's a good fag!

I haven't spent as much time with the Partagas line as perhaps I should, but to answer you question in general, I find that there are several elements that impact the savoriness of a particular puro, not the least of which is consistency.

Your mood, the weather, what you eat/drank last, the company you keep, day of the week, and the number of times you got laid last week, the alignment of the planets - all impact the pleasure of the puro!

But when it comes to my finest puros, I try to wait until most of the above are present before sparking one up.

But that's just me, TJ, TJCoro, and I'm just waiting for an omen before I light up from within and venture into the dark sea of awareness with my cohorts - The Coros!
