I've been studying the London Cigar Scene a good few years and my new App - The London Cigar Guide will help you find the best cigar stores and terraces in town.
This Blog contains odd bit's and pieces I have found in London and in the other cities where my Cities in Sound Audio Guides are located.
What is the difference then between the old gold band trinidads compared to the new? Did they change the blend or was it due to the factory change. I have heard a few people say wonderful things about the gold bands. I will have to source a couple to compare against my 2007 new band sticks.
Yep, good article Nic I picked up '98 x 6, from a collection I brought in Jan. Yet to have one but had the old gold label before (they attractedme because they always seemed to get covered in lovley plume at my tobbaconist's, in the summer) & they were always suberb. Not so keen on the more recent ones inc L.E., thought it was my tastes changing rather than the blend/quality. Nic to know I have a few more prime smokes to look fwd to in my humi.

This is a point I dodged in the blog Laddy. I defer to Magali on this point as she has the pallet. She says that there is a subtle difference and that the original blend is, in her opinion, much better. This was her reason for telling me (and Lasc) to seek out the originals.
I feel a comparative tasting coming on, what a very pleasant 3 hours (and ?46) that would be.........
Was so tempted to walking to Selfridges yesterday to see if they still have these babies. Probably all sold out by now though...
Still have singles in JJ Fox, boxes in Sautter and Davidoff. Hope to be able to tell you about more singles soon, I am trying to persuade another of the London guys to open a box.....
