Monty No 1 ?

Hey all. Been ages since I have posted here. I havent been well lately (smoking in bed IS great) and been very busy with my house...
Anyway, oh, someone here is going to get a random package of Cubans - a deal with the mad rokkit scientist - anyway, I digress.

The Monty No 1. Has anyone smoked it? I have always overlooked them scouring for the 2 or 5. The 2 and 5 are lovely. Im having a 5 now with breakfast coffee - breakfast of champions

From the desctiption it sounds really nice, but I have had some problems with Lonsdales in the past. Usually draw related. I might buy a 5 box and see how they fair, but Im after some feedback from someone here.

Love the Monte 1, great vitola. Need a couple of years on them but I have an '06 box that are just great at the moment. Have given a few to people here and everyone seem's to concur. Same size as a Boli Gold medal (another great smoke).

Fantastic smoke. Don't expect the full-bodied sweetness of the 5 or 2 unless you get very dark wrappers.

They have much more classic Montecristo flavours, though generally I would go for the no.3 by a nose.

I've never had draw problems with them, but if you're buying online it's always a risk...

Had one years ago. Oddly from a bar humi in a hotel in Greece. Luckily it was a nice hotel and was stored well an smoked well.

I don't remember much but I know it was a good smoke and I don't remember any draw issues.

After purchasing some great tasting singles. I purchased a 10ct box of them. Unfortunatly they were not as good. The first few I tried tasted like the 10ct box they came in. After realizing this I took them out and stored them in one of my humidors. While they tasted better. They didn't taste nearly as good as those singles I tried.

Montes are like a box of mixed chocolates. You never know what you are going to get?
