Never smoked an EL

I've been a long time CC smoker but never smoked an EL.

I was thinking out of getting a box of Dukes, or should I go for Monte Sublimes?

How does an EL compare to regular CCs? creamier? stronger?

Or maybe I should just get a couple of singles and try them out. The problem with that, the places I order from, the singles runs in the high $40s per stick.

wow....thats salty for a single. personally if i were ordering and knew the source was good i would go with the sublime all days long. its a much better seegar imho.

Never smoked a Sublime, unforuately, so I can't comment on them, but I can tell you that the Dukes are excellent and will get even better.

Love both, but I'd go for a Sublime over a Duke. I'd have no hesitation in recommending a box straight off.

While I would recommend the Monte Sublime over the R&J Duke by a hair, I think there are other great EL choices.

Did you select those based on size, or are you looking for something very interesting?

If you are lucky maybe you can find a Bolivar Petit Belicoso.

On most forums, the EL recommended the most are either Dukes or the Monte sublime. I've read there are some inconsistencies with the Sublimes and I am big Monte fan.

We did find one or two problems with Sublimes in Gibraltar when we herfed in March but the Dukes were good all the time

only ever smoked two monte sublimes and the first i smoked which pisses me to say was unsmokable had to bin it a third of the way in whilst the second i smoked was an outstanding smoke.
the dukes on the other hand ive never had a bad one yet of the two box's i have everyone has been great and will greatly improve with age.

i smoked both... would pick the sublime over the dukes... nothing wrong with the dukes..
