Hand-made Cubans after a horse ride

A mate of a mate has just returned from Cuba with some kosher Cubans as well as the cigars I've put pictures of below which were apparently rolled in front of him after he had gone on a special horse ride lol.

Thing is... Are they banana leaves?

Also I've offered space in my humidor for them, but wonder if they'll be dodgy and corrupt the good ones.

I want to let them revive for a bit of time and then try one.

Would you put them in your humidor? Or would you keep clear?

If i was in the slightest bit worried I wouldn't and it sounds like you have your doubts...might be worth freezing them etc to be sure there are no beetles if you really want to put them in. Apparently (and i've been told sentences that start with apparently are usually lies) you seal them in a zip loc bag, inside another zip loc bag to be sure no humidity os lost...freeze them for four days...defrost them in the fridge for two days and then leave them at room temp for a day before popping them in the humi....

however that sentence started "Apparently....."

I've never done it myself and I don't think I'd like to ruin some great cigars with something I didn't have a pretty good idea about. If they are banana leaves hopefully the worst thing that can happen is they're probably a really ropey smoke.

Apparently you can also rub your cock all over them and that'll fix them right up as well.

Actually I think my mate's mate's already had a good go at them tool-wise. For me, they're a drop in the ocean, you understand. I'll rub them down and stick them in the freezer because - hehehe - my guitarist mate is a cigarette smoker so he won't know the difference post-cock or not.

I'm actually considering putting them in a sock drawer and handing them back when my mate asks for them...

Put them in tupperware or ziplock bags in the freezer. They won't dry out if they are sealed. It's how my buddy stores his regularly (for some reason he doesn't believe humidors keep them as well).

Once had a beetle problem and the freezing does the trick. Lost quite a few good cigars to the burrowing little blighters.

Pucker hand rolled Cuban in the UK

I joined the Hunters and Frankau Cigar club about a year ago and it's a great little institution (for those of us who should be in institutions!)

Periodically they bring a Cuban Cigar roller to the UK and he makes his way around the country demonstrating his art to the great and the good. I saw him at World Travel Market and he was knocking out some substantial Cohiba banded sticks at about ?9 a go.

They look a lot better than Robusto's mates odd jobs.
