Just an observation I noticed upon receiving some boxes of Cohiba Robustos that perhaps someone can enlighten me on.
I noticed that most of the Vitolas had a creas or straight indentation down the side of the stick. Sometimes in more than one spot. I believe in an earlier post someone mentioned it may be due to the Box mold or press that the Torcedoras use. My question is why do I find this more common on Cohibas than other CC's and would it be a sign to clear of being a possible counterfeit.
Are any other members noticing this indentation straight down the side of the stick?

By boxes you mean cabs. Cohiba Robustos are ribbon bundled and drop straight in. The fit in the cab should be snug, but I don't think a press is needed to get them in.

As Mr T says, they're cabinets so won't have any pressing/"square-ness"

I've seen a few cigars with straight lines all the way down but the line seems to be under the wrapper....perhaps when the cigars are being shaped in the factory!?!?

If your Cohibas are box pressed, something aint right.

At the side of the stick, indentations can result from the ribbon around the cigars in cabs. Not sure if youmean that. Just the outer cigars of a "wheel" are affected. They smoke fine.

I'll have to post apicture to explain or clarify but as quoted above by Stevieboy it seems the line is under the wrapper and is perhaps being caused by the timber mold they put the binder in. It just seems more common in the Cohibas I have than other sticks. Both the cabed cohibas and individual 5 packs I have.

Yes, the "line" is definitely under the wrapper, and I too think it's caused by the mold.
Anyway, it's very common, I see it on many different sizes and marcas.

Cab of 25 Robusto and cab of 25 Siglo VI .... only mark was only 1 or 2 on the edge where the ribbon held them, that after removing and laying down in the humidor went after a week.

Other than that, perfect seegar shape.
