    Punch Tres Petit?

I've located a box of HF aged. (?159.00). OK, twice as much as elsewhere possibly (If you can find them). Decisions, decisions!

I'd go for it, I like aged punch profile!

It's a difficuly call. Some just get better, others have well and truly stalled in the ageing process by that age.

A conundrum that I'm contemplating too (looking at a cab of 1998 Le Hoyo du Dauphin).

Yes, it's a bit scarey .... and the HdM's are about half as much again more expensive!

If stored properly, they should be very good.

The question is,are you going to enjoy them so much more that they are worth double the price?

I like fresh cigars so the point is moot for me. I only pay more aged cigars if it isn't too much more.(not double)

I would say Yes, because they are EMS HF banded cigars and they would my only box like that.

By double I mean what an un-aged, non-EMS version might be bought for.

If they are ex H&F and part of the batch of aged stock currently being released I would say that they will be wonderful.

I smoked an aged 1999 Upmann from the H&F aged stocks recently and it was magnificent. Just need to find out where to get some more now!

1998/1999 were good years IMO. I would pick them up while you can.

there was a boli 98 from this H&F aged selection as part of the haul I won at the mega herf, I have to say it was a bloody amazing smoke, so I would be tempted by the punch, price seems ok I guess.

Well as sure as can be this will be worth buying and the price seems very reasonable to me. Snap it up.
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

98-00 were known to have draw problems. At double the price I'd skip it; but if you got the cash go for it.

That's pretty well established to be the case Tippex....however, as Nic suggests, if they're from a batch that H&F have recently released with the extra gold band on them then they're likely to be spot-on ....if not, then you pays yer money etc, etc

I never heard or experienced this with NISU (1998) codes. 99 and 2000 of course but not 98s.
