Okay thanks. Not so much to hear that their fakes, of that I am pretty certain now. You guys are the experts and I do believe peoples' comments. It's just that I would like to sell them so it'd be good to see if that's possible, from the quality of the tabacco, or whether they are only good for the next gathering of friends. Ha, probably not even that.

Talking percentages again Bruno 99.999 % of the UK population would not know they are fakes - so please don't be concerned. I think it just hits a raw nerve as so many people smoke counterfeit with realising and are put off for life. Years ago (I'm 51 ) when fake cigars first surfaced it was almost impossible to convince people returning from Cuba that all was not what it seems.

Tell the guys in Sautters or Fox your suspicions I am sure they will be able to show you the signs to look for. As many people have said they cigars might be a decent smoke!

      All the best
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

Well don't feel bad brother. I have smoked fake Cohiba Esplendidos simply to avoid telling my friend that he had been duped. It happens all the time. But don't make it any harder on yourself - the sooner you admit it the better off you are.

        My suggestion:

Put on a cape and some goggles (you might want to get a hard hat too) and take the cigars into the closest cigar lounge. Walking into the establishment proudly holding the Cohibas under your arm announce yourself as El Capitan, The Castrated Castro and begin handing out the Cohibas to anyone in the place. Do it with a smile, do it with pizazz, do it to impress and oblige, but by God do it fast and get the hell outta there. After giving everyone a stick you'll probably have enough left over to repeat the crime on another date. If so, don't do it to the same cigar ounge the second time around. Rather, find a new group of people to jack up. And for chrissake get a damn video of the whole thing! For that video you will become a youtube sensation and begin making money off the downloads. Trust me, I'm one of the many experts on this forum. I know of what I speak.

There are many ways to spot fakes, and with some of them it requires really checking all of the little details. The first pictures of the cigars are enough to show that they're fake. Bands all over the place, wildly different lengths; that alone means they aren't legit I don't need to look at boxes or seals.

The problem with buying, and selling, fakes is that it encourages production of fakes. There are many people that have been burned and been out of pocket quite a bit. I've seen loads of vendors I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole because they're stock is undoubtedly fake.

There are few 'deals' in the world of Habanos. You will most often get exactly what you pay for.
