Box of 25 Cohiba Esplendidos FOR SALE

In light of a recent thread on the forums, its interesting to note that: the cedar sheet has a 'round' cut, and the box is sporting a hologram.

Seems a bit of a wasted effort, going to the added lengths of trying to disguise the fact that the contents are counterfeit, especially when when the cigars themselves don't stand up to much scrutiny.

I wonder if it is just a matter of which recycled box they can get hold of at the time?

Maybe the box is a real one and it was just filled with fakes?

Ha, well I got duped then. It's probably painfully obvious that I don't have any experience in cigars, so apologies to people for passing them off as real. It wasn't my intention. The husband of the Cuban family I was staying with got them for me. I thought it was a very trustworthy source as he was a surgeon. Either that wasn't the case or he was being had as well.

I don't think any locals would be able to afford a genuine box, AND spend as much time as us on studying these, in the end it's just a cigar to be smoked.
