Not my favourite Bolivar but a great cigar and probably tied with PSD4 as my second favourite robusto. RASS still takes top honors in that vitola.
        What would Lemmy do?

          hey tippex,
hell yes, get em in!!! my second favourite robusto sized cigar (beeten only by the mighty PSD4)! however, i prefer the tubed RC's to the untubed!!! not sure why, they seem more value for money, better rolled and more flavoursome!!!

          all the best,

          alex

These have been very consistent and remain true to their Bolivar fans. I think that they have been very pleasant since at least '06. If you are a fan of the BRC you will not likely be disappointed by the '09 boxes.

That said, I have found myself gravitating towards the '07 Boli Gm when I want that perfect Bolivar flavor. These cigars have been outstanding.

              Enjoy your smokes.

              Cheers

Not my Fav Boli either, much rather have a BBF for a similar time of smoke, or of course, just take the time & have a suitably aged CG

Tried the tubo a few weeks ago and they are fantastic. However the price difference between the standard and tubo seems a lil steep imo..

                    hey violation,
i totally agree with you about the price difference, it's ridiculous! however, i believe there's a notable difference in quality between the 2!!!! the tubos look and smoke like expensive cigars, justifying their price (?15 here in belfast), whereas i've had a couple of duds in the untubed version, that have been muted and tame in flavour and aroma and just not that nicely rolled!

saying that, the bolivar tubos no2 is definitely better than the petite corona, even though they're pretty much the same cigar (only one's tubed and one's not)!!!!

                    just my opinion,

                    alex

I just got a 3 pack of these along with 3 packs of Cohiba Robustos, RyJ Shortys, PSD4s, and JL2s. They look great, and they were in good company, but I haven't had a chance to try one. But since they were bundled with 4 other 3 packs of my favorite cigars I figure by association they must be worth it.

Pick up your skirt, grab your balls and take the plunge my brother. Worst case scenario you can send the unwanted cigars over to me.

a good cigar with a few years on em in my books, i find the 09s a tad strong, try to get an older box or age em for a couple of years and they will be magic.

Best I've found so far is 08 .... A/T's as per Alex's advice.

if you can resist the temptation and hold on to em for a year or two you will be good...but we all know thats wishfull thinking.
