I have a question about aging cohibas particually the siglo line. Most of the siglos i have smoked have been quite young and the flavour can be quite bitter and grassy. How does the flavour change over time and how long is needed to see a distinctive change?

They only get better. Smoother, creamier and more complex. I really think one should not smoke a Cohiba less than 2 years old and ideally 5. If you want a similar experience but cannot age I would suggest trying Trinidad that generally smoke very well young.Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these

That's good advice monkey66. I have smoked quite a few young Cohibas (less than 2 yrs) and have only had 1 good experience so far. Since then I have also came to the conclusion that it's best to wait at least a couple of years before smoking them as well

Senors Monkey and Hot Sauce are right on target. I rarely smoke any Habanos before 1 year. And most puros just get better with age, including the Cohiba.
But what the hell do I know....I'm just a stupid looking dawg smiley sent back to the forum by don TJ to save it from the ever expanding faction of knewbees.
