Punch ? Punch Punch

I smoked one of these last night and thought it pretty OK all round and fairly inexpensive. But reading through reviews this seems to be a cigar you either love or hate.
I understand Punch are often dogged by construction issues, so maybe some of the loathing arises from those.

Does anyone have any extreem pro or con views?

I smoked a Punch Royal Selection No.11 yesterday, it's definately becoming one of my top 3 cigars. It didn't have any construction problem FYI

I've only had the one Punch Punch and that was too tight to give a good verdict. I do love the (sadly now-discontinued) Petit Punch though.

Punch Petit Coronations are a lovely cheaper smoke.
I think I have one left in my humidor...

Almost every Punch Punch I've had has been plugged....honest! The frustrating thing is the one or two that weren't plugged tasted fantastic

I also had a box of Punch Black Prince and every single one was plugged....every one! I clipped every one tested then returned them to the seller....

I really like Punch cigars...

I've had the Petit Punch, Coronation, Punch Punch, Seleccion No.11, Serie D'oro No.1 & DC and they've all been fantastic smokes...

I bought a fiver of Punch Punch from 2003. I have smoked 3 so far. Nothing but a great smoke for me. No plugs and an even burn.

I love Punch Punch & have half a cabinet hopefully maturing into great smokes (although I'm not sure I have the patience to wait a further 10 or so years that this would probably require).

The one proviso I'd make is to go for cabinet versions - the only box-pressed I've had was plugged & I bet similar complaints on here have all been regarding this format.

I love/loved petit Punch too & one of the best smokes I've had was a well-aged tubed Churchil.

I have posted previously regarding my thoughts on this brand. My view has not changed, and I still think they are the worst Cuban brand for QA/QC issues.

The ones which I have attempted have all been plugged to buggery, and I doubt very much if I will ever try another.

I have smoked many Punch. Yes, they have an issue sometimes with being rolled extremely tight. That being said, it is truly a cigar that benefits from aging. I had never really smoked them until mikes sent me some and since then, they have been in my rotation.

punch are underated on these forums imo
punch DC with some solid age on is beautiful,

petit punch is one of my fave smaller smokes, the d'oro is booooooooootiful. royal selection are lovely but i think discontinued?
