  • Vintage El Rey Del Mundo Choix Suprema

Lately I feel the word 'Vintage' has been quite misused and overused for cigars. It seems anything older than 3 years can easily be qualified for being vintage.
Now, this is the first and real vintage cigar I am having, an El Rey Del Mundo Choix Suprema exclusively made for Robert Lewis (J J Fox) in 1965, in perfect condition without any wrapper burst!
One thing to mention about this cigar is that Cohiba brand was established in 1966 and before that, Rey Del Mundo has always been the best brand of Havana, only the most premium tobaccos have been used for this brand.

Those are beautiful. You are right about vintage being over used. I have always thought that a cigar had to be at least 10 years old to be considered vintage. Unfortunately, seems like three to fours years old can be called vintage with a corresponding up tick in price.

Beautiful images, thanks for posting them up.

They look in fantastic condition. If you don't mind me asking, how on Earth did you come by them? Somebody must have had incredible willpower and self control not to have 'dipped' into the box before now.

Would love to read a smoke report once you've sacrificed one.

Better still I'd love to trade you for one, but doubt I have anything worthy (I'm rather fond of the wife ...but you can have her mother ...one careful owner - low mileage). pm me if interested

It's good to see something without all the 'end of the world' crap written all over it!

Very nice find, I'd imagine the bouquet to be fantastic, well into the third maturation period! be very interesting to hear your experience of the first one you try, be very interested to buy/trade a couple should that option arise.... being a big ERDM fan.
