Cohiba siglo iv.

The best cigar I've had in a while. It's the only Cohiba I've tried. Any others I should keep my eyes open for?

siglo VI and esplendido are along that same smooth feel. dying to try a lancero as well, that should be similar

I have only been lucky enough to try the Siglo IV and I loved it, if I had the money I would just smoke these and have a permanent fixed grin on my face.

However....my dentist has just returned from Cuba and in gratitude for me sending him Robusto's graphic novel of his travels he has got me a Siglo VI which I need to collect later this week along with a filling and (no doubt) a large bill.

Advocate?

Although I am not a great advocate of the Cohiba brand, I think I have smoked every vitola.

Best of the brand IMO is the Robusto, VI, IV and the II in that order.

Having said that, the Esplendido is a great smoke for a special occasion.

The Lancero is a great cigar (Fidel's favourite) and I was stuck on them for about ten years... I haven't had one for a while and friends have told me about quality issues that have been evident more recently but I'd still recommend it.

have to say the maduros are very very different cigars to the siglo range. of course worth a try but bear the difference in mind

Got a 25 of these bad boys on the way, also 25 more siglo iv it's gonna be a good Christmas He said he'd try and get some Romeo y Juliet Churchills too.

Some antidotes from the last few I've smoked...the VI has been bright flavored...honey, cream, grassy(which probably reduces with age). The V is deep cocoa, vanilla, and a hit of coffee(at 2 1/2 years of age which may explain the lack of grass). Lancero is grassy(again probably too young), cocoa, coffee, and sometimes a slap in the face of toasted walnut.

I quite like the distinct cohiba taste. My favorite from the Sig range is the V but there is a significant price difference between the iv and v.

I got a box of ivs last week with less than a year on it and wont be going back for another year as I feel they improve greatly with a bit of age.

I think you'll like it routing around deep in CIV's box TJ, perhaps now you two can heal

...but seriously, love the SigIV but for me that have a distinct smoking period which is about 4-10 years old. Too young that can be really nasty and too old they can be a bit strong (but not as bad as the CoRos).
Anyone else experience this with Cohiba Siglo's?
