Hi all since starting cigars the main cigar I have tried and liked was the Monte number 4, which I like allot trouble, is choosing what to try next? can anyone recomend a good single/singles to aquire next
I know I keep banging on, but I do love Trinidad. I started with the Coloniales and then moved on to the smaller Reyes. More recently I have tried the Robusto T.
All in all, I love the cigars and would chose the Reyes first and move on up.
hello matt,
my introduction to smoking cuban cigars was with the romeo y julieta tubos no. 1 & 2 and the short churchill! i also tried a cohiba siglo III which knocked me off my feet, lol! i'm not overly keen on montecristo cigars in general, but the numbers 5, 4, 3 & 2 are good, as was the petite edmundo i tried recently!
anyway, my suggestions, providing you've a decent tobacconist/ cigar shop nearby, would be as follows (all the cigars i've listed are between 4" & 5" long):
cohiba siglo (I, II or maduro secretos)
romeo y julieta (no. 2, cedros de luxe no. 3, short churchill, mille fleur, tres petite corona)
hoyo de monterrey (epicure no. 2, petite robusto,)
h upmann (corona major, petite corona)
partagas (petite corona, tres petite corona)
my suggestions are all based around the mareva or petite corona sized cigar (the same size as the monte 4 you had) with 1 or 2 exceptions! all roughly an hour long smoke and a good introduction to the variety of flavours & strengths in habanos!
Hi all thanks for the advice I now have quite few cigars to get my hands on after I get a new humi it seems I am going to have a lot of fun in the spring as whatever I get I am going to age until then as I cannot smoke inside.
