Senor MisterMister started a THREAD to announce his first box of fine puros - Bolivar Royal Coronas!
As I was reading his post, I thought this would make an interesting thread topic - Your First Box of Cuban Cigars!
I remember well my first box purchase. It occurred during a most excellent trip to Paris. I was visiting a very elegant cigar shop near the Louvre and was simply fascinated by all the fine puros on display. I just had to have a box to remember my visit. But what to buy, or more like, what can I afford?
After being tempted by all the beautiful and luscious sticks on display, I settled on a lovely little square lacquered box- Cohiba Siglo I. Partly because I knew I would enjoy them, mostly because I could afford 'em, relatively speaking.
Similar to the day Kennedy was assassinated, or when the Beatles broke up, or my first "kiss," I remember exactly where I was when I bought my first box of Cuban Cigars - just can't remember the name of the shop, but I remember everything else about my visit leading up to the purchase!
Like senor MisterB wrote in his thread - It felt like I had reached a milestone!
Names TJ, TJCoro, and you never forget the name of your first box
