Anyone got any experience smoking these young? Have just got a box LGR MAR19. Now I know these will need a long sleep but are they worth looking at after a little time to acclimatise? Don't know about anyone else but I can never keep my hands of a newly arrived box!

Go for it I'd say. They've got a year on them now anyway.

Give them a good sniff. If they smell good. Try one!

I always have a good sniff through the foot!

Then make a note and try one again in due course.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

I like these with at least 5 years on them.

Thanks for the comments... they look and smell great. I'll dry box one for a couple of days and report back! I've read that PLPC are at there best 5-8 years so will be very interested to see how these compare so young.

my own personal experience - a lot of various cigars seem to be smoking well really young from 2019 production - looks like it's been a good production year for some marques certainly. I am sure ageing helps of course, but they seem to smoking well right now

I've had a couple of great boxes of Bolivars from April 19 so I completely agree

I'd add to the above that all the 2018 rolled cigars I've tried so far have been excellent.

PLPC certainly reward ageing, smoked one of my 2006's yesterday, still delightful. I appreciate most can wait 5yrs but finding stock with a year or two to start with helps. Motecarlo's should be fine with a year+, as long as they don't smell of amomina.

Smoked one over the weekend, decent draw and some nice sweet woody flavours. Nothing to write home about but a good 70min smoke at a good price
