No More REs ?

Just noticed AJ had posted a short vid re the XXI Habanos festival. He does not discuss much, but he does appear to say that Habanos have stopped doing Regional Editions. First I'd heard of it.

Was a rumour they were gonna take a year or two off, not sure I can see it happening though as they are organised and financed by the importer it's a no brainer for Habanos to continue with them.

HSA keep bringing out lots of new cigars so tobacco supplies must be ok...
The RE programme has been a massive success so there must be a good reason for the suspension

That's true. The SLR Herfing are from 2017!

The delays in the releases whereby it seems that 2018 become 2019 or whatever kind of defeats the object of regular RE's. I'd have thought it better to just do each as a limited edition as and when it is ready.

Edit: I seem to remember reading somewhere that and RE is a limited run of a standard size and LE is a non standard size. Seems to me that they are all simply limited editions
