My friends Amir, who wrote the book on the Partagas marca has just replied thus: "It was a program where you could have the blank or personalized bands put on as a premium gift. All the factories did it. For example I have about 1700 RyJ bands in my collection. It is very cool to see them on actual cigars. The cigars were not made especially just banded and often put in nice desktops or humidors as a premium."

So probably an ordinary Partagas, well aged & uniquely banded, please let us know how it smokes Ehab.

True. They also release cigars that retail for over €1000 a stick and they sell. So they must be doing something right.

OR some people just buy anything you throw at them. I'm not talking about you Greg, just the guys who buy those 1k Ghurka cigars which are probably rolled by angels who descend from heaven once every decade or so.
