  • Patagas Chicos

My first taste of Cuban cigars were Ramon Allones Bits of Havana, mainly due to their availability at nearly every corner tobacconist.

i also would mix it up with Partagas Chico?s .... this was 20 plus years ago and the Bits if Havana have long since been discontinued.

I recently bought a 200 pack of Partagas Chicos, mainly due to nostalgia but also thinking they would probably be the same tasty stick I once enjoyed.

i was not wrong ..... beautiful rich solid earth and the wonderful Partagas flavour that is sometimes hard to find in other regular production Vitolas of this brand.

Does anyone smoke Chico?s and can this same reliability regarding good honest strength and flavour be found in the other budget prices Partagas offerings, like Mille Fleur / Super Partagas etc ?

Not tried the chico's i like the thought of a 'bite sized' smoke thats full on flavor. I will have to throw some in the cart on my next purchase.

The small camacho machito are a great smoke, drew estates are bringing out some small smokes (4 x 32) in tins that look really good.

I've just finished an aged box of Machitos where the cello was dark yellow and they were great. I picked them up in the DR last year. Now Camacho do three different varieties and the reviews I have seen aren't great. I haven't been impressed with the very small Cuban sticks, I have found them to be too loosely packed.

i bet they were really tasty, I do rate the camacho I must try one of their larger sticks.

still waiting for the 4 x 32's to land somewhere i can buy them from. I think they have been released now

Flavour wise, they are better than most of the big Partagas IMO!

Just nubbed a P2 and the Chicos are a far more flavoursome smoke !!

( ordered a box of Partagas Petite Corona Especiale this morning; expecting more full bodied Partagas flavour, given some reviews gettug about the net )
