15/07/19 Enjoyed a Party Corona '05 in my Mother's back garden. Lovely sunny weather, sitting on a swinging chair, with Mother & my Daughter, was the perfect set up to enjoy this fine cigar. Coronas & Marevas (Petit Coronas), used to be the most popular vitolas but coronas have now all but disappeared, this one was was deleted in 2006. The only remaining Corona's are Montecristo No3 & R&J No2 Cedros de luxe.
Lit well & draw was perfect, ash held on well & the burn was even.. Party profile flav was here within a puff or two & slowly built up over the first third. which I paired with a coffee. Switching to beer for the remainder which was matched by slightly stronger flav until I put it down just once it reached the band. Very pleasant.
16/07 Had to return to Aberdeen for a two day Water Management Course, mainly all about the evils of Legionella & how to combat it. Using Southend airport for the first time, it was surprisingly simple & straight fwd, slightly easier to get to that Luton or Stansted for me. Arrived in plenty of time & the weather was still very warm so I sat outside on the grass & enjoyed a cigar that reminded me of our holiday to Lisbon & Porto last year. RA EL2010, Lusitanos,a Petit Edmundo vitola with a lovely brown wrapper & an easy size to enjoy with coffee (no alcohol being offered before the check in). I find all the RA ER rather similar but again, all to my taste & I don't think I have ever been disappointed. This was no exception & it's flav was still strong enough to enjoy in the light breeze. I only have a couple let but I do have a box of the Netherlands ER2013 SS Robusto Corto still to open.
