I had infected saliva gland CJ ? for almost a week I thought was just a sore throat ? the infection had almost reached life threatening by the time I went to A&E. To cut a long story short the surgery required to fix it rearranged my top and lower mouth and the scar tissue is still healing. Hot food is difficult, smoking would be worse.

Holy moly.... So glad to hear you are on the mend. Sounds truly scary. Best of health for '18 and beyond.
