I am, quite genuinely, taken aback at the price. The sticks, and prices still keep rising.
Overseas prices on these remain to be pretty chunky too... Cohiba is rapidly becoming an unaffordable marque... a great shame."Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)

Like Deano I've yet to hear of any reviews on this. I'm actually staggered at the price of these I find it very disappointing that it's priced so highly makes it very much out of reach for most people I simply refuse to pay ?70 for a cigar. For what it's worth I've been smoking cigars a long time and been lucky enough to smoke some incredible cigars at a fraction of that price. Rant over. But good on CASC for offering these at a discount compared to others I honestly hope those who bought enjoy them .

'Emperors new clothes'.
I used to have a fondness for a well aged Cohiba.. and, bought into the 'Edicion Limitada' ranges in the early days.
But I cant help feeling, as time goes on, that it's in danger of becoming little more than a cynical marketing ploy, used to justify indifferent blends and sky rocketing prices.
Good for Habanos SA.. (for as long as they can get away with it), but the quality is too often inconsistent for my money.. and I wonder how much the high price influences reviewers perceptions..?
(i.e. "I paid a lot for this cigar, therefore I have to find reasons to praise it".. rather than "WTF somebody is having laugh..!").
Just my 2 centsOriginally posted by DRAGMASTEREvery time I sleep with a girl I smoke a cigar while we do it. It's exciting and makes you feel strong, manly and empowered.

The price is certainly very high, but whilst people are happy to purchase at that amount, they will continue to sell them.
I would like to try one at some point, but only to have had one, rather than seeking future investment in a box.

I can attest to this having bought 2.5ml samples of more than a dozen very expensive fragrances, when blind tested by 5 people (I know, I?m a bit of a nerd) the ones with very high ratings and the most expensive we?re usually the least liked.
Nobody wants to admit they bought a lemon and ,conversely, they can also over-praise something if they have paid a small fortune for it.
I don?t doubt the Talisman is a very good cigar, but I very much doubt it?s worth the current price, even less so the prices it will eventually fetch.
