    Hi all,

God I'm so behind! Any interesting LE's about? They all seem to be uber chunky and I much prefer a thinner guage.

The big-chomp gauge doesn't seem to be going out of fashion from what I can tell!

Who's had what, and what's everyone's thoughts? I should really buy myself a wedding present

    Morning Deano,

    My penny's worth:

I know you hate the gob stoppers, however the Trinidad Topes https://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/trinidad-...e-p-20572.html really is a superb smoke, and the best LE i have had this year so far! A box of them will certainly make a find gift to yourself
Only the impossible is worth the effort.

The smallest rg of the 2016 LE's is the Monte Dantes (48). They look really nice but I haven't tried it yet.

The new French RE (QdO Secreto Cubano) is a 40 rg, I've had a couple and it's a very "sweet" smoke but it needs more time down IMO.

All the other LE's and RE's are 50 rg or plus sticks.

None of the recent LE appeal to me. Dantes, price is prohibitive unless you can get to spain or Cuba. Not a LE, but best recent new cigar I have tried has been the new LCDH Punch Punch 48, much potential for this smoke I think.

          Then There Were Two

Welcome back to the Fray....errr, I mean, FORUMS!
Seems the rest of the UKCF old timers have lost their way on facebook or are too busy to post.

So, let's get to work, mate!

The Saint Luis Rey Tesoros (petit robusto size) are excellent. Plus one on the Trini Topes too.

I'm with ya @TJCoro (Bag Boy)! Glad to be back!

Thanks for all the advice guys. I must admit I was tempted by the Monte Dante's myself, reasonably thing gauge. Though the gauge of the Trini's is big, I don't mind them every now and then and if the recommendation is that good I might grab some to try. Plus I love a Petit Robusto size, so will try the SLR!

Edit: Crikey the Trini is a 56! Might just try one and leave a box for now!

(Ahem...) Excuse me, sir....but as someone who has actually fondled a box of 2016 Monte Dante's ELs, let me say that the first one I smoked in Cabo was delightful; the second a few weeks later at hacienda SoM not as much and, in my opinion, needs a few years of sack time in don TJ's massive unit to become a respectable, if not a great, puro.

See below picture of the actual box resting comfortably in the massive unit.

And I thought the rumours of your 'massive unit' weren't true, but there it is, exposed, for everyone to see.

Elegentes look great but seem to have a tendency to be underfilled. Still worth trying of course.
