Offered cohiba -fakes?

Someone on a regional buy sell group is selling a box of 25 cohiba esplendidos after a cuba visit. First thing that struck me as being incorrect is the placement of the seal and the habanos sticker on the box so I'm thinking the "cooperativo" my brother works at the factory, it's cheaper for locals scam.

I will probably go and have a look for fun but anyone seen this placement on a genuine box?



Just received another pic of boxes with labels in the right area but I haven't seen the label wrapped around the box before but I haven't looked at cohibas !

That's my very first instinct, especially after the 2nd photo with 3 boxes and just saw the box on the right, the seal is at an angle and too far round the box.

Fakes. Besides the labels, I don't know if he just removed one stick but there is obviously one missing but there doesn't look enough space to squeeze it in?

For fun I asked the guy for a photo of the bar code and hologram .. said he won't give that as he works on trust [emoji23] and he bought them from the cohiba factory shop.. shop doesn't exist AFAIK.

Labels on esplendido should be on a cardboard outer not the box, labels in incorrect place and last but least esplendido from cuba are 95% fake anyway

does anyone know how much these boxes are selling for in Cuba...I see endless amount of these on sale..would love to know how much people are getting conned when going on holiday.. I'm hoping its nothing more than ?30/40.

I was offered a box of behike 52 for 150 cuc.. his brother works at the factory and buys them cheap

o wow...that quite expensive...thought the fakes would have been really cheap...but thats about ?100+ poor guys getting conned.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for them Sham. Their sole intention is to get back home and cream us for a quick profit.
They deserve everything they get skinned for mate.

I disagree my mates family went Cuba last year and bought him a load of cigars. He was over the moon and they were all fake...I had to tell him they were fake which he was pissed about but his mum and dad thought they bought the real deal for his son and daughter...i never asked how much they spent bit it does look like fakes i are still quite expensive. I know what yours saying people are tying to make a quick buck but there honest people getting conned out of good hard earned money...i actually thought the fakes would have been really cheap...But from the look of it they ain't.

Only real ones he got were the guantanemara [emoji17]
