The very good online cigar magazine www.cigarslover.com has the Cuaba Distinguidos as its cigar of the year, and I was wondering what everyone thought of them? Could not find a review on the board, but did see two boxes in Geneva duty free last week, and was sorely tempted based on them being thought of so highly by such a good magazine.

Slightly odd choice, I think they're okay cigars but nothing particularly special. I think the Divinos is by far the best in the line though

You'd put the Divinos above the Salomon? That's interesting I've only ever tried one but I didn't think much to it, maybe it's time to give it another try.

I've only had one distinguidos & it wasn't from 2016. Isnt [MENTION=1090]RobustoClubHavana[/MENTION] splitting a few boxes of these?

I read somewhere that the Bolivar Gigantes was one of the top smokes of 2016.

They can be inconsistent, but they are the best Cuaba IMO, although I'm not a great fan of the line generally. Perfectos are also where I find cuban QC does fall (in other lines/sizes/shapes I think it is a bit of a myth that CC production is that bad but I do often have problems with this shape)
