Depends on the source Decky. If you get them custom rolled in the DR it will be Dominican tobacco etc. The rollers who visit the UK from Cuba tend to bring their own leaves so it will be Cuban. A torcedor in Cuba will probably grab whatever he can if he's rolling outside the factory. Custom rolled cigars have as much variety as the regular marcas but sometimes the rollers will have fun and roll some of the less common vitolas and a lot will roll to order if you're there in person.
Hi has any one tried custom roll cigars are they made from different tabacco or does a roller use their own blend just curious

Hi Decky!
I've read some posts in the archives where don TJ mentioned custom rolled cigars he picked up somewhere in the Caribbean. According to don TJ, the roller, who once worked as a personal roller for Castro (to avoid assassination attempts, no doubt), would ask him what format and strength he preferred, thus indicating that he customized the cigars based in don TJ's preference.
I've seen a few of these cigars in don TJ's humidor, but haven't the nerve to try one....yet!
