I?ve been playing catch-up with some of Habanos more recent releases, but have yet to try any of the new A?ejados range.
(i.e. The Montecristo Churchill, Romeo y Julieta Piramedes, Hoyo de Monterrey Hermoso No.4 and the Partagas Coronas Gordas).
As I understand it, these cigars are an attempt by Habanos to provide 'pre-aged' stock to the market, thereby allowing enthusiasts to experience the ?mellower and more refined flavour profiles? of box aged cigars, but without the need for buyers to ?home? age themselves.
In theory, it sounds a great idea.. but I?m curious to hear the experiences of fellow BOTL who've tried them.. especially those who traditionally age their own stock.
Are they worthy of the price premium..a marketing gimmick.. or somewhere in-between..?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Cheers
