• Cuban 1980's Davidoff's

Just won this wee collection tonight on an auction site. Wanted to smoke one cigar on our 25th Wedding Anniversary in August, that I hadn't had before & that's not so easy these days.
1x Davidoff Haut Brion from1985
1x Davidoff Chateau Latour from 1985
1x Davidoff No2 from 1979

Great catch, was following!

Hope they're every bit as good as your 25th Anniversary deserves. I enjoyed a Haute Brion with tommy and it was a flavour bomb.

Ha, I guess afew were. I was expecting a couple of late bids; some of those guys have serious money. I was worried about our sattilite delay & nearly upped my own bid to try & avoid being pipped to the post. Luckily I stayed cool & didn't have to pay more than necessary. The only down side is that I promised to the wife & wouldn't buy any smokes this year unless I sold some others to cover the cost. So add this to Stevieboys Grandee's I may have to organise a sale. Not that I suppose any of you are interested in my old stock anyway?

Good catch. I hope they smoke as good as they look. I'm sure you'll have no bother shifting a few sticks to cover the cost.

Cheers guys, I'l be happy enough if they meet expectations, let alone exceed them Marc! I have had a 'few' vintage smokes so have a good idea what to expect. they aren't likely to blow my mind but hopefully they'll be great in a subtle way. Bad luck Shepsea, I just kept going because I had decided these were the cigars for the big day & normally they come up in boxes which is way out of my league. I'll have a rumage around int he boli cave & see what I can offer up. I don't think I have actually ever sold any on this site before so it will be interesting.
