  • special occasion, which cigar...?

Hi, firstly apologies for another 'recommend me' thread!

I'm going out for dinner with some friends this weekend to celebrate my wedding, which is in a couple of months (I'm studiously avoiding the word 'stag'). We're having dinner at a restaurant (Boisdale in Belgravia, if anyone knows it) that has a cigar terrace. So my question is, given it's a special occasion, which cigar would you recommend I treat myself to:

Boisdale are the best British restaurants in central London with live music. Traditional British food, whisky bars and cigar terraces all with live Jazz.

I appreciate it's all down to personal taste but would be interested to hear if any of these stood out in particular.

Thanks as ever for the advice,

    Jack

    My 2 pence...

    Cohiba Siglo V (2001) yummy
    RYJ Cedros 1
    Trinidad Robusto

I expect the Cohiba will cost more than the meal (for you all)

    Enjoy your night and congratulations!

A lovely spot for dinner and a cigar, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time whatever you choose.

I'd go for the Bolivar Coronas Extra - but that's because they are one of my favourite cigars and were deleted by Habanos a couple of years ago, so I grab them whenever I see them... Alternatively a Partagas SPN2 or H.Upmann No.2 (depending on whether you like a fuller or lighter/medium cigar).

How long are you dedicating to the smoke? Im probably going for a Lusitanias for my wedding cigar. Just gotta find the oldest one I can.

I'll keep an eye out for those... particularly the price!

              And thanks!

Thanks Simon, I've not tried the Coronas Extra... one to add to the list in any case. Thanks for the suggestions.

                  I'd say in no order

                  Boli Beli Finos
                  BHK52 or 54
                  Lusitanias
                  Montecristo no 2

To some degree it depends on what you plan to eat1...
A Behike 54 would be may choice..

... and Behike 52 it was! Very generously bought for me.

Really enjoyed it, a definite depth of flavour beyond the 'norm'. The draw was a little tight, not sure if that was because it was cut with a v cutter? but very tasty.

                          Thanks for all the suggestions.
