  • Does this look off to you?

    Hi
I received some of the Partagas D6 today. At first glance they look fine, however when I accidentally move my finger lightly at the foot of the cigar a chunk of leaf fell off, I keep moving to check and bit and bit of small part start coming off as well (you can see the picture below). I have not seen this before and the D6 that come today are single stick so I couldn't not tell if they were fake or not. Can you guys give me any opinion about this?

    Cheers

From where did you buy them?

If you trust your supplier it should be fine

Singles suggest you UK sourced them. Transit knocks can cause flaking. But looking at your picture, and it may just be your camera angles, the foot cutting of that cigar appears to be all over the place, it's not a clean square cut. It can happen, but I've not seen it before in any of the PSD Series.

If it were me, I would either close my eyes to the imperfection, smoke it and forget it, or talk to the vendor. A UK vendor should replace it.

Handmade items aren't always 'perfect' and if you trust your source then don't get hung up on it, just fire it up, relax and enjoy....[emoji2]

My friend bought it from a shop in Russia . Are there any bad things about cuban from Russia? I'm back in VietNam at the moment so it's kinda hard to get cigar from the uk . The thing is if I keep lightly rub the foot it keep coming off, I have a feeling I can empty the filler by just doing that . Anyway, thanks for your opinions, I will wait a few days and light them up to see how they go.

If the filler is coming out it shouldn't be. Are there suspect cigars in Russia and the old Eastern Block? I would say yes, tobacco is grown extensively there. But there are also genuine shops.

As it's only an 'it' rather than a box, just light it up, if it doesn't taste right throw it.

Are you saying it's coming out like short filler?

Color is the absolute hardest thing to judge from pictures but the band colors look off to me

I've smoked some D6, it looks fine to me. Can't explain the leaf falling out....but initial photos look good. Not saying it can't happen, but doubt a D6 would be faked....

I smoked it the other day, everything seem fine. So I guess it is not a fake, or even if it was I'm still happy with the quality. Thanks guys

That's good that it smoked fine! Did the ash hold together like long filler or did it keep dropping off?
