  • Partagas D4 vs D6 pricing

Without going into specifics, the D6, per stick, is more expensive than the D4 even though it is quite a bit shorter - supply and demand I guess.

Am I better off (in the pocket) smoking less of the D4 and chucking it if I don't have time? Are the blends likely to be the same?

The D4 is infinitely better in my opinion. I haven't been impressed by the D6 so far. I've only had three but all three were badly rolled.

If I didn't have the time I'd go for a smaller ring guage than a robusto.

        According to Laurence they are.

I don't find a smaller gauge of the same length to be substantially quicker personally.

Might just start clipping the D4s!!

Any cigar I smoke, I tend to ditch if I run out of time - If I want a d4, but know I won't have time to finish it, I still smoke it cos that's what I'm in the mood for.
            D4 ftw

Have you tried both yet, or one of them?

...and just to add, I'm the opposite:
can't get on with D4s and my first D6 I had the other day was sublime...

That's the wonder of cigars Si, tastes vary, tastes on any given day for the same person can vary and then there's the good batch shit batch to consider.

The D6 is a great cigar....had the opportunity to smoke one in Andorra and didn't expect much from it initially. However, the price point is a big turn-off....will have to pass on these for now until the price comes down lower (if it ever will)
