    Don't think so.
One of the first things I was told about a London Cigar store owner, famous for his aged cigars, was that I should allow fresh air into my humidor every few days "The leaves are 'alive' and need to breathe"

This and that and this again. Remember, in the old days, distributors would keep cigars for 2-7 years in the large climate controlled warehouses to be aged before being released to stores. The stores would then sell them or sometimes age them for even longer depending what they thought to be just. No longer the case but cigars do benefit entirely from this.

So Nic, just to confirm, in order to prove that they've been kept in perfect condition so as to attract the best future price, is it best to have them stored at a reliable established stockist who can vouch for their condition and give a potential buyer peace of mind?

Yup, if you want to achieve the best price for them when you sell them.

Thnaks Nic but gone for the vacuum packing. I reckon using the storing system most stores have available would be a good option for future investments though.

Anyone already use these? Any idea on costs?

Raking on c.gars turned up this:

There are no items in your Locker.

Locker facilities are available for clients who require a professional humidor storage facility. If you wish to store any future purchases in our purpose built lockers then please select this option (instead of shipping) during the checkout.

Lockers storage is provided free of charge to clients who purchase 8 or more boxes of 25 premium cigars annually, otherwise storage is charged at ?350 per annum plus VAT.

                  Group investment option maybe?

Now that would be interesting, a group locker.

That is an interesting idea, like buying rare releases (one comes to mind) between a couple of people and letting them age nicely. I think it's more of an investment idea rather than just storage as nic said, it would preserve the value of its kept in the best possible conditions.
