  • Ramon Allones 225 Anniversario

Just wondering if anyone here is getting their hands on one of the new Ramon Allones H&F Anniversario 225 humidor and/or cigars that comes out in a couple of days? They look like lovely cigars though at ?22 a cigar I wonder if they'll be worth it compared to the proven Specially Selected?
    Cheers,
    Matt.

I'll admit to being tempted, but it is an expensive one... Still haven't decided.

Also had one last night at the launch and it was very good but I do think it is definitely one of those cigars that will be amazing with a few years under its belt.

Am I right in saying that these already have a couple of years on them as they were rolled in 2013 but H&F are only releasing them now?

Sounds good, maybe I'll get a couple for keeping in the humi and yeah Sheppsea you're right it's apparently already aged for two years, so should be ready to rock and roll... should be...

I have been really curious about these. What do you think of its aging potential in your opinion?

Ajay seems to love them. Spoke to him on Monday and said he smoked the pre-release in Havana and loved it. Said he smoked another at the launch and it was even better. I did ask about aging potential and he said it has all of the right components to be a great cigar in years to come.

A few of us are going in and buying some boxes. Reserved six on Wednesday and will be reserving two more boxes tomorrow for a total of eight. Another shipment of 50 boxes in due in Teddington on Tuesday.

The one I smoked at the launch was great but I was a little worse for the 225 rum and Pol Roger by then.

Buy with confidence. Smoke or sell in the future, can only go up in value IMHO.

I think the Monkey is right. But don't hang about, expect them to sell out in record time. Also, if you are buying them as an investment think carefully about how/where you keep them.

Monkey, worse for wear on free bubbly & rum, is that really you?
