Cheers RDBM, yeah I've heard this about a few Cohiba's now, a lot of people say they are just as good as normal ?15 stick, maybe I'll wait a while and see how my tastebuds develop - even though there's a devil on my shoulder saying "Go on, spend the ?30 on one stick! Spend it! Spend it!" hahaha
and PeeJay thanks for the recommendation, I've also heard a lot of good things about the Boli Lonsdale, they good sticks then? Not too spicy or peppery?
    Thanks,
    Matt

Go with what your gut says. For me I would suggest the Oliva as you know you like them and can smoke one and save one.

Yeah I agree Chris, instinct is usually best. I think I've decided I'm gonna ditch the Cohiba for now and go with something cheaper than a ?30 Behike. I'm now thinking about:
        Hoyo Epi 2
        RASS
        Boli RC
        Boli Lonsdale
        Monte Edmundo

I think that gives me a better range of cigars for my money, i.e. different brands and different ring gauges.
If anyone has anything to say about the Monte then let me know, never had one before.
        Thanks,
        Matt

The BHK52 smokes good young but is very different from the other cohiba smokes

I would go with the Oliva personally.
Agree with this remark here....even the Behike needs time. If you want something to smoke for the short term, go with the Oliva.

I'm a massive fan of the CoRo, when they're on they're fairly unbeatable. Appreciate they're expensive etc etc but a must try!
Not so fussed about the BHK...

Email some of the shops to see if they've got any robustos with a bit of age on so you don't have to wait?

Oh god this is such a hard choice now, haha; there's a split opinion about whether the Cohiba is worth it or not. However I think your idea about messaging them about aged cigars seems sensible, I might do that. Thanks guys

All I can say matt is, there are no short cuts to find what you do and don't like I won't mention any names but a member on this forum
spent a few hundred quid trying out different singles and doubles till he found the brands that suited his palate, not cheap but that's the only way
to do it in my opinion to find the brand you like.

Also thing about the strenghth of the cigars you buy too, not good idea smoking say a D4 after breakfast there are more of a afternoon evening smoke

you need to smoke a milder cigar if you do smoke in the mornings, I personaly don't but some do.

You will find some aficionado's start off the day with a mild then go onto a medium and probably finish the day of on a full bodied cigar after a good meal.

Okay thanks Tony, I think I'll just have to spend the money like you said, probably best anyway as I'll be able to see what suits me and what doesn't suit me. Suppose I was just looking for things to avoid rather than what to buy.
Thanks for all the hell guys!

Yeah those Olivas are good! For the price you just can't go wrong, why they are ?10-ish I'll never know, but as long as it stays that way I'm not complaining

I know. But as a non Cuban they tend to me a little lower in price due to perceived quality of true cubans.
