H. Upmann No. 2 - how is it?

Hi gents,

Since I've been smoking cigars on a more regular basis, I've been making an effort to try as many different cigars as possible, and up to this point my favorite smoke is the H. Upmann Magnum 50. Considering the Piramide is quickly becoming one of my favorite vitolas, I'd like your opinion on the H. Upmann No. 2, and how does it compare to other well regarded Piramides such as the MC No. 2, Diplomaticos No. 2, the Partagas P2 or the VR Unicos.

Back in the day when Monte No. 2's were in very short supply I moved over to the Upmann No. 2's and it is still one of my favourite cigars.
In fact I would probably reach for an Upmann or Partagas Piramide before the Monte these days - just my personal preferences and admittedly I might well be in a minority!

I agree with you. I rate the Upmann Nr 2 above the Monte Nr 2...I don't see what all the fuss is about regarding the Montes.

Having tried the Monte Nr 2, I can say that what impressed me most about the cigar was the luxurious look and feel of the wrapper... stunning to look at, and fantastic oily sensation on the fingers. The looks impressed me more then the actual cigar, TBH.

I'm quite curious to see how the Upmann Nr 2 compares to the Magnum 50.
