So apologies to Wigan for my delayed posting of the pics of our last mini herf & here's a few others from my last leave. Apologies if I posted some of them already but I can't remember what I posted & what I missed. Firstly I finished my best ever fishing season in 48yrs, catching 87 pike & 50% increase on the nearest total seasons weight. So opened the box in the deepest darkest depths of the Boli caveSAM_6485.jpg & broke out a Piramide GR. 2015-03-06 15.53.03.jpgNot as memorable as the Coronas Media GR I had at last yrs herf but very pleasant all the same. Next I went on the dreaded ECG & Advanced Cardiac Life Support course & passed, 92% & celebrated at the best hotel in town with a Party Short,SAM_6511.jpg a coffee & dble Jamiesons. The night before coming offshore I met up with our local Aberdeen social sec & I produced a pair of 1950's Jamaicans SAM_6525.jpgbefore dinner at the Old School House.SAM_6527.jpg A bit mild but not bad considering some considerable age. We followed that up, back in the warmth of Wigan's fine abode with a pair of Gold Label Trini Fundadores. SAM_6529.jpgFor those of you not old enough or lucky enough to have tried these before the current label came in, these really are worth tracking down & trying if your a Trini fan. Wigan had made a comment a day or so before that he had yet to try a Trini so that made my mind up, tonight would be the night. SAM_6532.jpgSAM_6531.jpgI am glad to say Trini didn't let us downSAM_6533.jpg. Before I left Wigan plied my with A Party No6 & a fine Boli CG from his Apr 2014 box. SAM_6534.jpgI'll report how I find this stick as I intend to smoke it in the near future, it will be the youngest CG I have ever smoked - should be interesting.

Yep saw it, & yes of course! May I'll be fishing Loch Fas which had a 42lb'er caught by a trout angler & released yrs ago. The majority of 35lb pike caught in Scotland have come from Fad not Lake of Mentieth. June I'll be taking my boat out to Holland were almost anything is possible, on the massive River Amer & the Old MaarsSimon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.

Congrat's Wayne for managing to read my blog, it's quite a heafty tome. Coming up for the anniversary of the invasion at the end of the month & I see possible flare ups in the region were discussed on the news this morning, more troops being sent to boost the garrison.Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.

Had a quick rake through my collection to try and find something special enough to provide for the next Herfs smoke and came up short
I had recently read up on the Trinadad prior to the Herf (purely by coincendance) and I actually cant think of any cigar I would hold in higher regard.
Thank you very much again Mr. Bolivar

Cheers guys, many thanks for your kind comments. Sorry I have been absent so much lately, really have had too much on to cope with really. Barely smoking let alone posting. However, I am hoping normality will be returning this leave & hopefully there be a few more unusual & aged smokes to check out. Wigan, you have transformed my passing through Aberdeen from mundane to something to look fwd too. A warm hearth & a welcome in the Grannite City isn't easy to find! Peanutpete, yep I know, will try to be better in the build up to the mega herf!Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.
