  • Looking for a single for a special occasion.

Good afternoon boys and girls. I am after some more of your advice and wisdom if that is OK.
I reach the mighty 'five oh' in just over two and a half years time. I am thinking about getting a single stick
to put away until the big day, and enjoy it while celebrating. So I am basically after recommendations on
what to have a look into. For starters, does anyone have any experience of this:

    Thank you.

I havent smoked one JT , but i have one in the humi for June 2016 when the mortgage is paid off , its been sleeping since 2012 .
Its hopefully a nice stick and being a EL theres only so many made

So you,l have the brand , the EL and a price to match , so all in all for me it will feel like a special stick for your special day

For me its enough to pay , if you wanna pay more theres a Partagas Gran Reserva Lusitania 2007 you could consider as i know you enjoyed the Lusi

Whateva you decide on id consider buying possibly sooner than later , in 2012 the Cohiba 1966 , 2011 you mentioned cost me ?40 .

Hopefully some one can guide you more

So what comes and goes JT , a nice cigar in one hand and a bottle of bubbly in the other you,l have a special day and feel a million dollars

Not at that price no where near worth it. I would go for a nice DC with some age on it. I know simon at my smoking shop had some lovely 50 cabs of DC open for singles last time I was in. Proper merchant he is, likes to try and keep the boxes for a few years before selling singles from them so a good choice. For the money of the cohiba you could have 3 very nice cigars.

Yeah I think I'm in the same place as many others, I have the cigars but not had a chance to smoke one yet. Maybe consider other options, I wouldn't pay ?65 for a 1966 mate. Try investigating "The Google" for a cheaper source but be very careful, danger lurks in all corners of "The Google"!!!!
The new Cohiba Robustos Supremos would be a cheaper and better option for me as its a much shorter smoke. I have a box on the way right now [emoji16].
Do you have PM status? I could help a lot more if you do.

I don't have PM's yet Tommy. Probably another six weeks or so yet, if I meet the criteria that is.
I'm in no rush just yet. It is over two and a half years to my 50th. Alt the discussion and advice
is really helpful in my decision making so hopefully more comments will follow.

                          Rascal, what is the DC?
Apologies for my ignorance but I don't know what it is.

No probs a double corona like the Partagas Lusitanias so a 49 ring gauge by 7 5/8 long. So a big long smoke

                              Double Corona.

                              The current ones include:
                              Ramon Allones Gigantes
                              Partagas Luisitana
                              Hoyo du Monterrey Double Corona
                              Punch Double Corona

                              Might be missing one somewhere...
