Good shout and I was going to pop that up. The no.2 would be a step in the fuller flavour direction

The ERdM Choix' I have smoked have been much milder than the other mentioned sticks. Though that's just me. The Choix is a lovely stick though... But I am favouring a bit more ramped up flavour and body these days.

Sadly our taste buds weaken as we age ......

                Hi Joss
We can all reccomend cigars you should get, the only real way to find out is buy singles and see what you like
we all have different tastes, what might suit me might not suit you.
Other members may agree or diagree with me but thats the only way you'll find out.
One thing to to keep in mind is mild cigars for morning fuller cigars for later in the day hope this helps.

Thanks for the recommendations guys! Thanks Tommy, I have indeed tried the HdM short pyramides, last week in fact. Very nice indeed, though the guy at the shop said 'dont enjoy it too much because there arent many left anywhere!'

I have tried the El Rey de Mundo Epoque 2009 but wasnt too keen on its tannin tasting bitter notes. Maybe I'll give the Choix Supremes a go sometime.

Have had a Juan Lopez Petit Corona but found it too be lighter than Id like, despite some sellers describing it as medium to full. Nice flavours though.

Take a step back with Bolivar. In the absence of the Bonitas try a Coronas Junior. If you like Upmann you should enjoy the Connisseur No 1 and Upmann No 2. You've had a bash at Siglo try a Cohiba Coronas Especiales. And to move you in the right direction Monte Tubos and as a treat Trinidad LE Short Robusto T .... if you can find one.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Would echo the comments on the SLR Regios, cracking smoke, full of flavour.

Don't discount Bolivar, the Royal Coronas is a cracking stick, doesn't knock your head off like some and great flavours.

                        Epi 2's always good

If you've got a few extra quid get a Cohiba Robusto with a couple years age, to me one of the best going!

Thanks Tony, Im happy to take recommendations from like minded folk who like the brands I like. Makes for a more educated choice when buying a new cigar and increases the chance of finding something good.

Cheers Tippexx thats an intriguing list you've provided, Im going to try those out!

Joss, depending on how long you've been smoking at some point it will be worth revisiting cigars that you've previously disliked as your tastebuds adjust.

Hoya de Monterrey Epicure no 2's are a good shout, as are the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill.

Echoed beautifully what I was going to say as with your quest for medium flavour, R&J would be an obvious place to have a good few smokes.

May I ask what about the Romeo y Julieta you do not like?

Currently sat outside with a lovely cup of coffee (sans sucre) and smoking a Ram?n Allones Specially Selected. Have you had owe of those as it is a top smoke in flavour, aroma and thoroughly enjoyed [emoji4]

                              Cheers,

Ive often wondered about doing that as Im conscious that the palette changes as one smokes more and thats certainly the case with me. I think I tried RyJ in the past and found the flavour to be lacking in complexity. I think I will revisit one day soon and see if theres a difference.
