I never put much weight on the factory where a puro is made. Mi amigo once bought a box with a specific factory or box code based on a recommendation, but I don't believe he noticed any significant difference between those and the same puro with a different factory code.
I realize the factory code is important to some BOTL and suspect there may be a difference in the quality of puros made at different factories, just never paid much attention to it.
How about you...do you consider the factory in your puro purchase decisions? Have you ever taken the time to measure the quality of different factories and, if so, what did you find?

Hi TJ - I posted recently about the differences between identically coded boxes of Trini Reyes. The wrappers were very different and the cigars themselves taste completely different...I much prefer the darker wrapper TBH. A year ago I bought a box of H Upmann #2 for me and Giga. We both enjoyed them so much that we tracked down a second box with the same code...this time they were identical to the first box. I'm not going to put much faith in the box codes from now on because of the Trini differences
