As above really whats peoples thoughts eyeing a box up when i move end of month for my winter smokes. Never tried them you see but love D4's

I had a box of them a few years back, a very peppery smoke, each one had good construction but I'm not one for that type of full peppery smoke. If you like that type of smoke then certainly you should try them, me I'm just too much of a lightweight!

I would disagree with Wolfie. ROTT and for a year/eighteen months or so they're fine. They then flatten for about 2 years and then come back around the 3 year mark.

So it doesn't rule them out. You just need to find a box with a recent 2014 code (easy) or one with a 2010/11 code (not so easy, as Short don't usually hang about on shelves).

Both myself and a friend bought a box each to try after hearing all the raving. For me, straight out the box they were pretty harsh flavours and full on, a year of age transformed them into smooth, juicy smokes which totally hid their hooligan origins.

If you are ordering a box Sean, try to get one with a year+ on the box code. Well worth the little more money they will cost as they are unbelievably delicious for such a small cigar. I have some aged ones, but believe a sample is being sent your way anyhow amigo. Enjoy. I have just had a box of Partagas Serie P no 2 arrive today to go alongside a box of D4
