When I first got into cigars the the 3 Marcas that I knew of were Cohiba, Montecristo and Punch.

Even with this I'm still yet to try any of them, so my question to you is, what do you think my first cigar should be from each these marcas? I want something that best represents what they are all about [emoji6]

    Cheers Jim

I know I keep on about them on here lol but Monti number 4's are amazing atm. I bought a box of ten this year with about 2 years of age on them and they are perfect. Everyone else is saying that now is a good time for them.

Lots of guys here like the Punch Coronations, I've never liked them though.
And Cohiba's, well the first one I had was a maduro secretos. Best thing for you to do for your first Cohiba is a Siglo with a few years of age on it I'm guessing.

Hmmm tricky. Good selections from all. Depends how much you wanna spend as well.

Monte wise Id say the 4 or the 2 depending what size you want.

Cohiba the Sig VI (from general consensus) or from experience the robusto.

Punch can't say only had experience of the punch and the petit corona and didn't think they where a great example.

I would say the monte no.2 it's one of my favourite cigars. I also like the monte no.4 but prefer the 2 but more expensive
Cohiba robusto is a great cigar.
Only had a punch coronations and it was okay but couldn't recommend it as haven't tried any others.

I would say also that a Cohiba Siglo would be a good start. I have read & watched YouTube on them & it seems that the VI is the 'one' for many people. However the III sounds promising too, it sounds like the Siglo does taste better with a good few years on them.
A Monte from the Open series may be a good start too, I think they smoke ok from young but, with anything, age does improve them.
I can't comment on Punch, as I've yet to try them too.

I think in the grand scheme of history H. Upmann and RyJ could give Punch a run for it's money in that big 3..... But if you can get hold of a Petit Punch then that's a cracking Cigar.

Montecristo I'm partial to the No.2.

Cohiba, the only two that have stood out as worth the premium for me have been an aged Sig VI and a BHK 54.

Depending on budgets & length of time of smoke wanted:
Cohiba: Siglo III or Esplendosis (genuine only of course) or indeed Sig VI
Monte: No 2 or Especials No1
Punch: DC or Selection No 12

                  Monte: Petit Edmundo or #5
Punch: Have never gotten any to draw properly apart from the stunning recent EL the d'Oro 2
                  Cohiba: VI, IV, Lanceros
