Two separate issues you have , from what i can see Tony , aroma and touching ( why do i lol , everytime i type touching ) lol , oops there i go again

If the aromas of different cigars are a problem , a divider isnt gonna help , although it will prevent the touching lol of different cigars

So aroma , keep them in their
    own humi
    own box

    Touching , lol
    divider ,
thin cedar strip as dazzer said , great idea
    own box
    own humi

    Aroma and touching lol
    own humi
    own box

    or simply buy tubos

this is only my opinion don't mean to offend any members by saying this.
No offense taken, sorry for the brashness of my original reply.

The whiskey analogy does not stand up as this would be akin to stripping the cigars mixing the tobacco and re rolling.

In this instance you asked for opinions and I gave you mine based on my experiences.

I just simply don't believe there would be any discernable difference between touching and not touching in the same humidor. Long term storage is different but a desktop is probably the wrong tool for that.

You must do what makes you happy regardless of what anyone else thinks.

I have to agree, monkey has a good point. I think a lot of people have had this discussion in the past and from what I've read it comes down to this, long age in cabs with the kids cracked a bit then transfer ready to smoke stuff to your desktop and try to think of those as this years smokes (on relation of course). I really enjoy the complexity of the mixed desktop humi aroma and I really do think that the group hug my puro's have in there make them better. I would keep certain sticks separately such as nearly all NC's.
If you are keeping everything separate the best option is to keep them in the original boxes in your unit or scuba box or whatever you store your cigars in.

I suppose when it comes to hobbies there is no right or wrong way of doing things everyone does things which ever way it suits them
            if it works why change.
The other thing is we learn by our mistakes.

                a) Your talking about wrappers. b) Cigars are gonna have to be in a desktop for a long, long time to get any crossover of flavour/aroma from the wrappers .... if ever .... and to be honest I don't think I'd be able to tell if it did.

Monks right .... if you're worried about crossover keep 'em in their boxes .... worrying about a coming ice-age might be just as productive, so easier just to smoke them!
If you want to, you can.

                      2. Do NOT allow the missus anywhere near your desktop with spray polish.
