So I have been even busier than usual during my last 2/52 leave. Only had a week at home due to courses & had plenty to take care of before I left. Usually I get to keep following the threads, even if I don't get time to post but this time when I got on the rig there were 6 pages of back posts for me to catch with! Never been absent for so long, hope someone missed me?
Anyway I did manage some interested cigars so here we go... R&J Cazadore 2005, after getting ashore at the end of last trip. Really excellent clean tobacco flav.SAM_5360.jpgPL Legendios from Stevieboy, was a large ring guage for a milder cigar but that didn't bother me this early in the morning but it went bitter in the last quarter which gave a poor aftertaste.SAM_5371.jpgSAM_5373.jpgWhen I got home I found the sweet corn had all the leaves turned back & the corn eaten. I assume this was the work of the pigeons? Really disappointing, will use nets next year.SAM_5380.jpgA rather special smoke after a nice meal at home, Monte Robusto 2000, the original, that has been repeated several times since but not bettered IMHO.SAM_5385.jpgSAM_5450.jpgHoyo No2 2004, still have a few od trhese & some '01 & 99.SAM_5454.jpg Went to the Tank ceremony with the RBL which marked the 70th anniversary of the relief of Antwerp by the Brits & Canadians. The last one I attended was the 50th. Guess I have been here longer than I like to remember! LGC No4 with a friend in a nursing home (but at least one he can drink & smoke in) & the photo below shows the result from my only fishing trip. a nice jack on an Ebay'd lure, caught from my boat. Went up to Holland to collect my Yamaha engine, to make it worthwhile managed a couple of hrs in the morning chucking lures. Same spot that I caught the big one from in June, hope to catch more in Oct after some pre-baiting.
