  • Hmmm, what to buy?

    I've been struggling to make a decision on which box I want to pick-up next! I have managed to narrow it down to around 4;

    ERDM Choix supreme
    Monte no.4
    Partagas SDN4
    HDM Epi no.2

What do you guys recommend? Baring in mind I already have 2 different types of HDM's at the moment but they are great to be fair albeit a little light bodied!

    Cheers guys.

From your list I've had the Partagas and I loved it, so I got a box

I'm not a particular fan of the HdM Epi 2 but obviously they do get a lot of love. The Monte 4 is a bit boring but I have a box for when anyone comes round and tries a cigar for the first time

Both the D4s and Choix Supreme would both be excellent choices in my opinion, can you buy both?

Ditto to Smokey Joe but with the HdM, if you go with the Choix Supreme PM me again.

What would be nice, would be to sample a stick if possible: the same date as those of the boxes available.
That will help avoid any disappointments, or having to leave boxes sit a while before they 'come good'.
But what a treat! Nothing like the excitement of a box purchase!
ATB buddy. And thanks for thinking of me RE: box

Hard choice as I think they are all box worthy.

Personally I would probably have more opportunities to smoke the Monte No4's than the others so that would play a factor for me.

Beyond that I would probably want to directly review the ERdM and Hoyo and make a choice there. The Party is very nice, but I am more satisfied waiting for the right moment to smoke a P2 in all honesty.

Depends of what do you want.. if you want a medium-strong box you have to buy Partagas or HDM, if you prefer light flavors you must to choose ERDM or Montecristo.. but i don't like to buy boxes of Montecristo n4 because the production is very inconstant...

Epi 2, you won't regret buying those. The only problem is that you will soon be buying another box!

I found the HDM No.2 to be very light. I preferred the No.1.
Monty 4's haven't been that great for me...
Enjoyed a great ERDMCS as of late, but advice says they need to be aged.
D4s, again never been lucky with them.

Have you sampled all of these cigars?

I've only tried the D4's out of these and that was a few years back! I'm sure a lot of people don't buy a box straight off but I personally feel like you can never really go wrong with these premium brands

Haha I think I may have to get the Epi 2's, PJ is a legend and managed to source some which he kindly offered to split with me ; I'll be taking 15 off him which (following my logic) means I now get to buy another box ! Looks like I might have to get a tupperdor going because space is really bloody tight in the desktop humi.

Thanks for the suggestions aswell lads, definitely helping me to get closer to the next box buy; I already know come August/Septembers paycheck will be a cab of BBF's! Been waiting to make that buy for years now.

Monte 4's are very popular but it is recommended never to buy them blind. Obviously it will depend where you shop to whether or not that is an option but apparently the highest quality Monte 4's really are something to behold (it's one of the next ones on my list!)
I love the HDM and PSD4 so they are also both great buys!

Quite a few people have told me that now, seems like they're a real hit and miss!
