These were picked up in Italy several years ago. The vendor said they were made with Pipe Tobacco. We'll never know, however, because mean, ol' don TJ said they were too cool to smoke!

I have two of these in my humidor TJ, you know you can smoke them whole or cut them in the middle to share with another identity? MarkLondon brings these home from Italy whence his wife comes, he'll get you a packet in the summer if you ask. I don't think they're made with pipe tobacco but it is tobacco that is fermented wet.

Interesting! Catalina Joy was told by the vendor that it was pipe tobacco. Perhaps se?or mark can find out next time he's in Italy.

BTW, you didn't mention what you thought of them. Have you tried one? I haven't the heart to bust up the set...besides, they look SO GOOD on display in don TJ's massive unit.

They're actually pretty good though I prefer the coffee ones. Because of the fermentation method they don't actually need to be in a humidor but I keep them in mine anyway and I guess in the aridness of Coroville you should too.

I shall see what I can find out when I'm there in the summer chaps.
