PARTAGAS SALOMONES?

Really enjoy the P#2 and the Lusis, especially with a bit of age on them.Has anyone tried these salomones yet?
I would be interested on how they smoked.

Looks like it might take around three hours to smoke the damned thing!

They look amazing. I've smoked a box of the similarly sized Cuaba Diademas....set aside at least 2 and a half hours mate

you could cut em in half and have 20 short salomones...LOL seems odd but I think the original concept of this shape was to share, could try one to see how it smoked!

I remember buying a bundle of 25 of these from the Partagas factory back in 2002.
They were not commercially available at the time and had been rolled during demonstrations in the partagas shop (Popular Partagas cigar roller but can't remember her name!) so were packaged in a R&J churchill Tubo's box for me.
A friend of mine who was an occassional cigar smoker tried one with me at a summer BBQ later in the year. The cigars were still quite fresh and could have done with a bit more ageing, as after about an hour my friend turned green and disappeared to the bathroom. I wish i had kept a few of these now, but as they did take so long to smoke(2-3 hours) i traded most of them away.

They are really young, and I think 6-12 months at least before attempting one.They do look formidable.

it seems to me the salomone size is the toughest one to roll. Cuaba's often comes with unsatisfying draw and construction, though can't blame the roller, it's just too hard to make it perfect

You are right Pedro, it is an achievement to be able to roll any cigar i would think, but these things are the top of the rollers game I would say.

I would think it would take a lot of skill to roll a box of these with the consistancy shown in the Partagas Salomones.
