Day trip to Ghent.

Went to Ghent today to picks this up. Only 100 jars made to commemorate the opening of the LCDH, last May. Oh, & just as I was walking out I saw this little leather case that just takes DT's.SAM_4689.jpg
To celibrate I burned the Jamacian Perla from the 50's, SAM_4670.jpgas handed out on the Watford Herf.SAM_4671.jpg The wife then picked her her new car so pretty good day. Oh yeah, then we went out & celibrated 24yrs since we met .SAM_4672.jpg

It's lovely, though I imagine expensive! If you had two though, one could be an investment (if you could hold off from smoking) it's bound to be worth loads in the future!

Cheers Marc, Yep the jars were brought as an investment. I
oncebrought a box of Boli DC's & expected to start smoking them after 5yrs but by then I realised I was rarely smoking such lag-rge cigars to had a pair with Moon Dancer & split the reast on here. If I had brought some singles originally I could have tried them & auctioned of the whole box. Well I saw these advertised first on a certian Swiss site (planning my next long week/end break) & was intrigued but wondered if there were any still avialble in Belgium, one yr post release & if so how much they would be.

Initially I asked Mr Fank but he said they were only LCDH shops only so I tried Mike's Havanas of Antwerp. He said they were only Knokke & Ghent. So I called Knokke. They said they had commissioned them for the opening of their Ghent branch & yes they did have a couple left. So I took a gamble & took two!SAM_4683.jpg Yep I know, pushing it abit but unlike ISA's if these don't make money I can smoke the sticks & sell one the jars. If I can make what the Swiss site is asking now at auction in 5 yrs I'll still show a beter percentage of return than my ISA. So I'll let you know how it goes. Just gotta find room to store them now& the boxes they came; won't be displaying them to avoid any possible fading ect.

Lovely bit of shopping Si. The jars look great. I'm gonna try and get down to Amsterdam or Brussels in a few weeks. Do u think it might be worth squeezing in a trip to Ghent or Knokke too?

Ethem contact them by email & reserve one before hand & then oyu'll know if it's worth dropping by. Ghent is a bug@er to park & worse to get out of by car anyway (motoerway juinction being worked on). But the quicker they'll all gone the better for me.

Beautiful Si! I think that's a very cleaver purchase. Because they are either going to be smoked and enjoyed or will be sold at a profit to pay for more smokes to enjoy in the future!
